Marriage & Family: I am a wife of 30 years and parent of adult children who went back to college at age 49 to pursue a doctoral degree in Education. I graduated with my Ph.D. at age 54 and started a new career as a Life Coach and Forgiveness Guide

Teaching: I have over two decades of experience as a middle and high school public school educator, teacher mentor, professional development leader and instructional coach. 

Faith: I came to the United States from South Africa with nothing but $190 in my pocket and a backpack on my back. It took faith in God to make that journey to a new country on my own as a young adult. Today I am living the American Dream. In my book, With You Always: A Journey with Jesus, I chronicle my relationship with Jesus Christ through stories, poetry, scripture and images. 

Fundraisers: I've been a keynote speaker at fundraisers for Rotary and Kiwanis Club events and spoke at my own fundraisers as the founder and administrator of Mission After School Time, an after-school program for families experiencing homelessness. 

Urban Farming: I speak about the many lessons I've learned from our chickens, our bees and the plants we have grown over more than a decade of urban farming.
